Early Educational Experiences of Adults with Entrepreneurial Tendencies
The Entrepreneurial Pathways project, lead by the CLARA team at KU, studied the early educational experiences of young adult entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and social entrepreneurs. As a member of the CLARA team, I supported data collection, analysis, and dissemination on this project.

Action Research Center, University of Cincinnati
Connecting for Change: ARC Community Learning Circles are virtual monthly sessions hosted by the Action Research Center (ARC) at the University of Cincinnati. I co-facilitate these sessions and serve on the ARC Co-Creator Team.

Montessori in Contemporary Culture
I edited an updated version of Montessori in Contemporary American Culture, contributed a chapter, and managed the project’s production. Dr. Margaret H. (Peggy) Loeffler edited the original edition in 1992.

Advocating for

At the 2022 Montessori Public Policy Initiative Conference, I invited participants to reflect on their advocacy experiences. This report outlines the group-level assessment (GLA) process used in the session and shares the insights gained.

Case Study: Examining Teaching Effectiveness
This case study from Mount St. Joseph University’s School of Education Preparation Programs examines how graduates apply their teaching skills and explores their experiences with P–12 student learning, classroom instruction, and school environments. Findings informed program accreditation.

REimagining Montessori education
This report outlines eight potential ideas and initiatives developed by 40 Montessori educators under 40 years old, brought together by the American Montessori Society and AMI-USA at the U40 Montessori for the Future Summit in June 2023 to craft innovative approaches to Montessori Education.

Clark Montessori High School Foundation
Clark Montessori is one of the nation’s first public Montessori high schools. The Clark Foundation facilitates student fundraising events, organizes teacher appreciation, plans community events, and serves as the school’s teacher, family, and staff organization. I am the 2024-25 school year President.

ECE Lab Schools: Research, Service, & Professional Development
This project, in collaboration with the team at UC Arlitt Center, sought to better understand the structure, roles, functions, and challenges within individual university-based early childhood lab school contexts. Our aim was to continue efforts to strengthen, learn from, and build collaboration within the lab school community.

standing up for racial & social justice in the classroom
With a grant from the University of Cincinnati, we hosted a 4-part workshop series with Itzel Hayward and Kathy Simon. The purpose of the series was to share skills for shaping discourse around race and racism in the higher education classrooms.

Group Level Assessment – A Catalyst for Learning & Change
Since 2015, the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute (MTEI) has introduced Group Level Assessment (GLA)—a participatory action research method—to its educators. We are exploring how MTEI graduates have used GLA in Jewish schools and organizations, what outcomes they’ve observed, and how the method may have been adapted.
